Job Overview

Central Coast Council is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our Development Engineering Section. As a Principal Traffic and Transport Engineer, you will play a key role in assessing road safety and traffic impacts from developments and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide innovative solutions for our growing community.

Responsibilities:
- Work in a dynamic and customer-focused team
- Assess and report on traffic and parking matters
- Design and assess road traffic intersections and assess their performance
- Prepare complex traffic studies and traffic modelling using SIDRA software

Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Experience in assessing and reporting on traffic and parking matters
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make sound judgements

What We Offer:
- Salary range: $99,000 - $119,000 per annum, plus up to $12,000 market loading depending on skills and experience
- 9 day fortnight and hybrid work conditions
- Leaseback vehicle for official duties and private use
