You will work closely with our team to ensure that all engineering matters are thoroughly assessed and evaluated, and that our community is protected from potential risks. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic Development Engineer with a passion for traffic engineering, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate engineering matters submitted to the City by developers
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that all engineering matters are thoroughly assessed and evaluated
  • Develop and implement traffic management plans and strategies to minimize the impact of development on our community
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that our community is protected from potential risks

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic engineering with ability to be accepted to the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Experience in preparing/reviewing engineering matters including transport impact assessments, transport impact statements, traffic management plans and parking studies
  • Experience working on complex projects and using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent liaison and negotiation skills, preferably demonstrated with government agencies and consultants
