Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Urban Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in the assessment of various engineering matters submitted to the city by developers, including traffic management plans, civil subdivision drawings, and stormwater management plans.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent liaison and negotiation skills, preferably demonstrated with government agencies and consultants. The successful applicant will possess tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic engineering and ability to be accepted to the Institute of Engineers Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Assess engineering matters submitted by developers, including traffic management plans, civil subdivision drawings, and stormwater management plans
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Liaise with government agencies and consultants to negotiate and resolve issues
  • Work on complex projects and use strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Traffic engineering
  • Ability to be accepted to the Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Experience in preparing/reviewing engineering matters
  • Excellent liaison and negotiation skills
