We aim to promote educational opportunities to graduates as they consolidate their theoretical and clinical skills. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team.

Job Details
  • Position: Graduate Palliative Care Nurse
  • Location: Werribee Mercy Hospital and Mercy Palliative Care Sunshine
  • Duration: 6 months Inpatient at Werribee Mercy Hospital, 6 months community
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and participating in ongoing education and training.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
  • Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
