Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Support Worker. As a Support Worker, you will provide active support to enable people we support to get the most out of their lives and to work to enable them to achieve their goals and ambitions using a person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to individuals with various support needs which can include but are not limited to Autism, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol and Learning Disability.
  • Enable individuals to achieve their goals and ambitions by providing support and guidance in a person-centred approach.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a comprehensive service that meets the needs of the individuals we support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of coming into post.
  • Ability to undertake a variety of training opportunities including SVQ 2.
