About this opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Academic to deliver high-quality teaching to students in our enabling programs. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for teaching those new to university and possess subject matter expertise in enabling education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tutorials/lectures to an excellent standard, including preparing lesson plans and facilitating informed group discussions and activities to enhance student engagement.
  • Consult with students in relation to weekly topics, readings, and upcoming assessments.
  • Assist with assessment administration, such as marking, entering results and providing feedback to students as required.
  • Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of an undergraduate qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level with sound understanding of core academic skills required for successful university study, enabling pedagogy and/or adult learning principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.
