Stock Controller Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stock Controller to join our team. As a key member of the inventory management department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and up-to-date stock records.

The successful candidate will have experience in inventory control, stock management, or logistics administration. A strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is also essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are up to date and discrepancies are minimized.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations to track inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances by liaising with warehouse and production teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of stock adjustments, write-offs, and replenishment orders.
  • Work closely with procurement and operations to manage inventory turnover efficiently.
  • Acknowledge receipt of goods and verify quantities accurately.
  • Identify and rectify inventory discrepancies promptly.

This role involves coordinating with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations. The right individual will possess a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently as part of a team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or logistics administration.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (experience with D365 preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience investigating stock variances and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Freight and dispatch coordination experience will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
