Quality and Infection Management Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support our quality and infection control programs. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in aligning with our hospital's strategic direction and daily operational processes.

The successful candidate will have experience in quality management or infection control and be able to conduct clinical audits, monitoring, and surveillance as required. They will also be responsible for maintaining knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the quality/risk and infection control programs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to collect and analyze data, KPIs, and infection control indicators
  • Conduct clinical audits, monitoring, and surveillance as required
  • Maintain knowledge of National Quality Safety Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) and ACHS Accreditation System

Requirements

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • At least 5 years post-graduate experience in quality management or infection control
  • Acute healthcare setting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to high-quality care
  • Proficient in MS office and various databases
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Immunisation certificate
