**Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator (NM11)**

**Part time 0.3EFT (24hrs per fortnight)**

**Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator**:
Yea & District Memorial Hospital (YDMH) is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Coordinator to join our small rural health service. Our facility comprises:

- 10 bed acute ward
- 4 bay urgent care centre
- 25 bed aged care facility

As the IPC Coordinator, you will provide oversight, consultation and implement the IPC Program across YDMH. Your focus will be on facilitating a safe environment and service for our patients, staff, visitors, volunteers and the community. This will involve ensuring adherence to relevant national and state standards and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing all aspects of infection prevention and control within YDMH
- Educating staff on latest best practices
- Supervising and supporting the IPC Resource Nurse

To be successful, you will have solid experience in infection control in a healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are also essential. Tertiary qualifications in infection prevention and control are highly regarded.
