Head of Corporate Communications

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Corporate Affairs to join our team at The University of Queensland. As a key member of our Marketing and Communication's leadership team, you will play a crucial role in building our reputation and image through effective communication and engagement programs with stakeholders from industry, government, and community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive corporate communication strategy to promote UQ's mission, achievements, and major initiatives.
- Manage a committed and passionate team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of corporate communication programs.
- Work closely with senior executives across the University to develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with our priorities.
- Proactively manage reputational issues and mitigate risks, ensuring the University's reputation is protected and enhanced.
- Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement integrated communication strategies that support the University's goals and objectives.
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with a strong track record in corporate communication and affairs. You will have a deep understanding of the importance of effective communication in building and maintaining a strong reputation, and be able to develop and implement strategies that achieve this goal.
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and team management skills, able to motivate and inspire a team to deliver high-quality results. You will also have excellent interpersonal, influencing, and advisory skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
