Wine Sales Manager Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wine Sales Manager to lead our wine sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory for wine, merchandise, and gourmet products at the cellar door.
  • Establish pricing strategies based on market trends and business goals.
  • Plan and oversee cellar door events, wine tastings, and promotional campaigns.
  • Lead wine tastings and product recommendations to enhance customer experience.
  • Upsell wine club memberships, exclusive releases, and event bookings.
  • Oversee financial reporting, daily sales reconciliations, and revenue tracking.
  • Monitor expenses and revenue to ensure profitability of the cellar door and store.
  • Hire and train cellar door staff, retail associates, and event coordinators.
  • Implement safe handling and storage procedures for wine and other retail products.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Retail Manager.
  • Ability to manage wine stock levels, track sales, and ensure optimal product availability.
  • Knowledge of retail budgeting, sales forecasting, and revenue tracking.
  • Skills in organizing wine tastings, cellar door events, and private functions.
  • Ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Understanding of liquor licensing laws, responsible service of alcohol (RSA), and occupational health & safety regulations.
