About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our team at UGL Pty Limited. As a Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of civil subcontractors and UGL operators to ensure safe and efficient construction of access tracks, tower pads, and lattice transmission towers.
  • Coordinate the delivery of imported fill from suppliers, ensuring that materials meet the Powerlink specification.
  • Coordinate the movement of plant and crews along the easement, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure adherence to Powerlink technical specifications, particularly key hold points, to prevent any unnecessary delays or rework.
  • Oversee and conduct toolbox meetings and daily pre-start meetings to foster a close and productive team environment.
  • Allocate daily tasks to leading hands and direct reports, monitoring their productivity, efficiency, attitude, and work standards to ensure that project deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate daily diaries, recording resources on site, productivity achieved, and attendance, ensuring that weekly timesheets are accurate and complete.
  • Understand project schedule requirements and drive leading hands, labour, and subcontractors to achieve project targets.

Requirements

  • Experience in a team lead or supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proven track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing lean principles.
  • Demonstrated organizational capabilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, with experience in Primavera, MS Project, and SAP an advantage.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and experience with civil foundations for transmission lines and relevant civil engineering qualifications highly desirable.
