Highway Infrastructure Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our highway infrastructure design team in Darwin. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects related to land, urban and subdivision development.

This role includes project design and delivery across various sectors, from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation. You will be responsible for independent design, project delivery and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will have Australian experience and a strong technical design background, with excellent consulting engineering and project delivery skills. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role:
  • Civil design mainly relating to urban, land, buildings and subdivisions
  • Construction phase support, design review, stakeholder management, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration and quality audits
  • Liaising with engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Adhering to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures
  • Managing clients and other consultants
  • Assist with project management and business development

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in civil engineering related to design and delivery of urban, land, buildings and subdivisions
  • Knowledge of applicable Australian standards, codes and state requirements
  • Obtain CP Eng and NT Registration as soon as eligible
  • Eligible to obtain Defence baseline security clearance
