">The Role
">We lead strategic engineering initiatives under the SWIS Engineering Roadmap Program, Transition Point Planning and readiness across the WA energy sector.
">We ensure the secure and reliable operation of the SWIS through the energy transition. By providing expert advice, we support reform development, investment decisions and stakeholder engagement.
">We identify alignment opportunities with the NEM to leverage AEMO's engineering expertise nationally.
">Key Responsibilities
">Provide technical leadership in delivery of system design and transformation initiatives under the SWIS Engineering Roadmap Program.
">Collaborate to coordinate and optimize delivery with other related engineering initiatives across industry.
">Provide engineering expertise to support reform development and implementation, ensuring that new policy, regulatory and market mechanisms consider technical requirements.
">Presents the latest understanding from the SWIS Engineering Roadmap to participants, governments and a wider audience.
">Informally leads subject matter experts.

- Degree in electrical engineering or related field.">
- Strong understanding of power system operation and planning, and the engineering challenges of transition.">
- Demonstrated experience making innovation happen, thinking strategically about future requirements, and driving outcomes.">
- Demonstrated analytical skills sufficient to review, critique and approve modeled outcomes.">
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders, negotiating outcomes, and delivering on time and to budget.">
