Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to join our production team as a manufacturing operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest standards, while also maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture products on a 'right first time' basis whilst following company procedures and observing all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with regard to operational requirements of the business.
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others whilst carrying out your duties.
  • Carry out housekeeping activities within timescales relevant to each specific area.
  • Maintain expected cleaning and housekeeping standards of all production areas worked in.
  • Work to 5S standards and promote 5S standards to other colleagues.
  • Identify and inform management team of quality and maintenance issues when they arise.
  • Strive towards continuous improvement in all activities undertaken.
  • Complete vocational and skills based training as required.
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, ability to work well on own initiative and problem solve to deliver targets. A good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality/standards is essential. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines is also required.
