About the Role

The South Australian Housing Trust is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of Asset Strategist. This role is part of the Property Services Directorate and will be accountable to the Manager Portfolio Planning for the ongoing management of the Strategic Asset Management Framework (SAMF). The successful candidate will be responsible for operationalising, reviewing, and updating the SAMF, reporting on strategic performance, and contributing to improved asset performance.

Key responsibilities include improving the use of current asset data, developing new approaches for the collection, analysis, and application of asset data, communicating with internal business units and external stakeholders about the SAMF, aligning activities across the business with the SAMF, and contributing to related strategies, business plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

This is a short-term contract opportunity up to 30 June 2026, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the field of asset management.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in asset management, business, real estate, land economics, development, valuation, or urban planning;
  • Desirable experience in asset management or a related field;
  • A strong understanding of strategic asset management frameworks and their application;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
