Job Title: Tourism and Visitor Experience Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Tourism and Visitor Experience Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of Parks Australia's tourism and visitor experience policies, projects, and strategies.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tourism and visitor experience policies, projects, and strategies.
  • SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGIC TOURISM PLANS.
  • Support commercial tourism activities including authorisations.
  • Prepare visitor insights reports from visitor survey data, ticketing information and other sources.

In this role, you will work closely with park-based visitor service and operations staff, as well as a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will have an opportunity to learn new things and perspectives through collaboration with colleagues on park and Traditional Owners in sharing their knowledge, stories, and culture.

Requirements:
  • Experience in the development and implementation of policy and strategy.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, set timeframes and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Proficiency in developing documentation including briefings, correspondence, reports, minutes, and agendas with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the tourism industry and protected area management, or the ability to acquire this knowledge.
