Geotechnical Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in geotechnical engineering and help us achieve our goals.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our mining operations. This will include providing geotechnical advice and direction, working closely with the technical production team, and contributing to the development of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide geotechnical advice and direction in planned and active underground mining areas
  • Work closely with the technical production team in the design of mine level and stope extraction plans
  • Contribute to the development of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems
  • Review and update the Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP)

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a geotechnical focused role, and knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
