A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Underground Technical Services team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the safe management and delivery of all Geotechnical requirements.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Geotechnical Engineers
  • Develop functional work plans and processes for the Geotechnical Department ensuring strategic requirements are met
  • Conceptualise, initiate, present and implement specific Geotechnical improvement projects for productivity and profitability gains
  • Provide Geotechnical advice and direction in planned and active underground mining areas, ensuring effective and appropriate ground support systems are in place
  • Work closely with the technical production team in the design of mine level and stope extraction plans, including evaluating / modelling rock stress resulting from the planned extraction sequencing
  • End of day reporting for all Geotechnical activities and compliance against schedule
  • Review and update the Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP)
  • Contribute to the development of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring system for mining activities

In this role you will be working on site, managing a team of engineers and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
