Job Title

A leading hand mechanical fitter is required to join our maintenance team.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson with leadership experience to work on a diverse range of equipment, including heavy earthmoving machinery and underground ancillary plant.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a crew of skilled fitters and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of skilled fitters in the maintenance and repair of heavy earthmoving equipment and underground ancillary plant
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address any maintenance or operational issues
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year's experience in a leadership role
  • At least 5 years' experience as a tradesperson, preferably in a mine site environment
  • Australian recognised trade certificate in mobile plant
  • Detailed knowledge of mining and safety regulations
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • A current C class drivers licence (manual)
