The Opportunity

In Launceston, Tasmania, the Driver Leading Hand will assist the Operation Supervisor in supporting drivers and promoting safety and well-being while driving a rear lift truck.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Drive a rear lift truck to transport goods and materials efficiently.
  2. Help distribute drivers, manage run sheets, and work orders to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Act as the primary contact for truck breakdowns, resolving issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  4. Monitor daily schedules to verify work completion.
  5. Demonstrate agility in handling unexpected challenges, making on-the-spot decisions to maintain smooth operations.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. An HR Licence with experience required.
  2. An early morning start time and availability to work 7 days a week.
  3. Knowledge of basic fatigue management principles.
  4. Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
  5. A strong commitment to safety and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
