Senior Structural Engineer Job Opportunity

Are you a seasoned structural engineer with expertise in bridge design and project management? Do you have excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive innovation in your work?

This senior-level position involves leading technical delivery of complex bridge projects, developing design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and contributing to industry initiatives.

  • Minimum 7 years' professional experience in structural engineering, focusing on bridges.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia and Registered Professional Engineer Victoria (RPEV).
  • Experience in project management, including commercial, administrative, and technical aspects.
  • Proficient in structural analysis and design software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical delivery of bridge and transport structure projects.
  • Develop design solutions, prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications for various structural forms.
  • Perform structural planning, analysis, and design for transport infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
  • Manage mid-size projects.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives within our Bridges and Structures Business Class.
  • Drive safety and quality leadership aligned with our Drive to Zero initiative.
  • Represent us at industry technical seminars.
