Job Opportunity:

Candidates are sought to work in a fast-paced production facility, performing various operating, feeding, filling, forming, and closing operations for the continuous packaging of candy products.

About the Role:

  • Operate production machines, supplying candy and material as necessary; continuously observe operation for proper wrapping.
  • Clean jams from machines; clean parts such as wheels, guides, heat plates, etc.
  • Assure proper feeding of material by aligning or otherwise manipulating; maintain the wrapping feed during the process.
  • Perform minor machine lubrication.
  • Form boxes or cartons to catch output directly from wrapping machines; catch product and close refilled boxes as required.
  • Manually feed product through wrapping machines as required.
  • Perform continuous inspection of wrapped product; discard substandard product and sort reusable items during machine downtime.
  • Makes up shipping cartons and loads filled boxes into cartons; stamps cartons and seals with tape or staples, using automatic or manual equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Must possess the ability to read, write and comprehend oral instructions.
  • Previous production experience in a factory setting is required.
  • Experience in food production is strongly preferred.
