Candy Production Team Member

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Candy Production Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for operating production machines, supplying candy and material as necessary, and continuously observing operation for proper wrapping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machines, supplying candy and material as necessary; continuously observe operation for proper wrapping
  • Clean jams from machines; clean parts such as wheels, guides, heat plates, etc.
  • Assure proper feeding of material by aligning or otherwise manipulating; maintain the wrapping feed during the process
  • Perform minor machine lubrication
  • Form boxes or cartons to catch output directly from wrapping machines; catch product and close refilled boxes as required
  • Manually feed product through wrapping machines as required
  • Perform continuous inspection of wrapped products; discard substandard products and sort reusable items during machine downtime
  • Form boxes and load with specified number of wrapped packages, add specified inserts, close box and aside as required
  • Makes up shipping cartons and loads filled boxes into cartons; stamp cartons and seal with tape or staples, using automatic or manual equipment as required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to read, write, and comprehend oral instructions. Previous production experience in a factory setting is highly desirable, with experience in food production strongly preferred.
