The Opportunity:

We are seeking an automotive enthusiast with an exceptional eye for detail to join our team as the Technical Compliance Manager.

Reporting to the Product Manager - 4x4 and Load Carrying, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and efficient operation of the Pedders GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) Upgrade Program and other unique initiatives related to Pedders' operations, such as the Pedders Brakes program, LoadRyder onboard scales and Weight Matrix software, focusing on domestic and international technical and regulatory compliance.

Utilizing your extensive knowledge of automotive regulations and standards, you will ensure Pedders' continued compliance to existing domestic and international vehicle and component regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input to internal teams to ensure product and vehicle releases are compliant.
  • Assist with stakeholder enquiries relating to GVM, technical and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, maintain and improve our quality management systems database with regular auditing.
  • Assist with product planning to maintain compliance to vehicle regulations.
  • Lead and manage the GVM team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
  • Engage stakeholders, liaising with Pedders franchise network and state and federal regulatory authorities.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

  • Previous experience in automotive engineering with relevant qualification, product compliance, or regulatory affairs is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of vehicle design and manufacturing processes, including how they affect GVM compliance.
  • Exposure to working with GVM-related regulations and standards, including testing procedures and certification processes.
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
