Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Automotive Technical Trainer to enhance the skills and knowledge of technicians within the automotive sector. This role is pivotal in fostering the professional growth of technicians throughout their automotive careers.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Training Manager to ensure that all training materials are aligned with industry standards and organizational goals. The primary responsibility will be to facilitate training sessions across various markets, focusing on competency development within the automotive retail network.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive technical training for various levels of technicians, including Apprentices, Service, Registered, Senior, and Master Technicians, through both in-person and virtual formats.
- Regularly assess and update training content in collaboration with management to maintain relevance and alignment with business objectives.
- Promote the training programs as the premier choice for dealership staff, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
- Coordinate with regional teams and dealerships to optimize participation in scheduled training events.
- Apply contemporary adult learning principles to enhance the effectiveness of training sessions and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- In-depth technical knowledge of automotive systems, repair methodologies, and dealership operations.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and accessible manner.
- Strong understanding of business management principles, including key performance indicators and strategies for achieving objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a friendly and collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including the MS Office suite and online training platforms.
- Relevant qualifications or educational background in the automotive field.
- Certification in Training & Assessment or equivalent qualifications is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a training capacity is advantageous.
