Job Overview
The Cleaner in Charge will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of school facilities. This includes supervising and motivating cleaning staff, managing staff performance, and ensuring adherence to Department of Education (DoE) procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in daily cleaning tasks.
- Supervise and motivate cleaning staff to achieve optimal performance.
- Manage staff performance in consultation with the relevant authority.
- Liaise with the relevant authority on all cleaning matters.
- Record and respond to issues and concerns detailed in the communication book.
- Report maintenance issues and assist in maintaining the school's facilities for student learning.
- Maintain the cleaner's time book, arrange relief staff, and monitor stock supplies.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to induct, coordinate, and supervise cleaning staff.
- Experience in school or commercial cleaning.
- Ability to recognize and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets, equipment operating instructions, safety instructions, and training guidelines.
