Assistant Coordinator Role


We are seeking a qualified educator for an Assistant Coordinator role at Holy Spirit Outside School Hours Care based in Bray Park. Since 2006, Holy Spirit Outside School Hours Care has been a part of the Holy Spirit Parish and school community, offering a fun, safe, and supportive space for kids.

Job Overview:

  • Program planning, delivery, and documentation will be key aspects of this role.
  • You will be responsible for staff rostering and supervision.
  • Administration and financial management tasks such as fee collection will also fall under your remit.
  • You will assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program.
  • You will provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
  • Working collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families is essential.
  • You will participate in professional and personal development.
  • In your absence, you may be required to act as the Responsible Person on site.
  • You will promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of our organisation.

Key Requirements:

  • A Diploma in Children Services/Early Childhood or ACECQA equivalent qualification is required.
  • You must hold a Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations is essential.
  • Experience in the education and care of children is necessary.
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred) are required.
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills are vital.
