Job Title: Leadership Role in Childcare Services About the Role

The role of an Assistant Director is a vital part of our childcare centre, where you will be responsible for supervising and assisting in all aspects of running the centre. Your focus will be on creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children.

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children every day. If you have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and a strong desire to lead Educators, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff in a childcare environment, working within a strength-based and family-centered approach.
  • Develop warm, respectful, and positive relationships with staff, children, and families.
  • Create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
  • A completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.
  • A willingness to take on leadership responsibilities and guide Educators.
  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check.
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Completion of mandatory reporting training.
  • A well-developed understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and National Regulations.
