Animal Care Specialist

- Provide top-notch daily care for animals in our shelter, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health.
- Work with a diverse range of animals, from dogs and cats to birds and small mammals.
- Contribute to the daily management of animals, including transporting them as required.
- Observe, document, and report health and behavior concerns to veterinarians and other relevant staff.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers, enhancing the reputation of RSPCA Victoria within the local community.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is recorded accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with peers across departments, providing support and direction to volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:- Rotate shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Previous experience in animal care roles is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in fast-paced environments while showing care and compassion to animals.
- Display teamwork experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be willing to work across all areas of the shelter.
- Exhibit a positive attitude for sharing knowledge and helping others.
- Utilize strong time management skills and basic computer skills.
