Animal Care Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Animal Care Specialist. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for our animals, including cleaning, feeding, and enriching them
- Working closely with our veterinarians and vet nurses to monitor animal health and behavior, and administering medication as required
- Providing exceptional customer service to members of the public, responding to lost and found inquiries, and liaising with council officers
- Maintaining accurate records of all animals in our care, including impounded animals, food stock levels, and laundry
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional capacity
- A recognised animal-related qualification (desired)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A current driver's licence
- Sound emotional maturity and ethics regarding animal welfare
