The role of Compliance and Regulatory Coordinator is a vital part of the Operational Risk and Compliance team at Volkswagen Financial Services Australia.

About the Role

This position will play a key role in supporting the team by coordinating VWFS's regulatory change and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate regulatory and compliance change activities for VSFSA, including distributing regulatory alerts, actioning responses, and assisting with regulatory change impact reviews.
  • Support the Operational Risk and Compliance team with operational tasks, including reporting, maintaining the compliance calendar, and reporting using the Protecht GRC system.
  • Assist with the coordination of regulatory/industry consultation responses and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate registers, including regulatory correspondence register and regulatory change roadmap.
  • Contribute to the hindsight review process, including reviewing, documenting, and reporting on results from hindsight reviews.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory obligations, including those related to ASIC, AUSTRAC, and OAIC.
  • Tertiary education in business, finance, and/or law is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand and respond to customer needs.
  • Attention to detail, including the ability to effectively review information, noting errors, discrepancies, and/or trends.
  • Familiarity with complaints handling and/or collections activities.
  • Experience in asset finance is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, including experience in an advisory capacity.
