Job Opportunity: Senior Literacy Educator

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position commencing Term 4, with possible extension and/or permanency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Literacy Educator to collaborate with specialist Numeracy teachers and the Learning Support Manager to deliver evidence-based literacy and numeracy support for Years 7–8 students.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a cross-curricular literacy program within English and HASS contexts using established intervention and testing strategies.
  • They will utilise education assistants to maximise student learning opportunities and monitor progress through effective data analysis.
Requirements:
  • A qualification in remedial literacy education or relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Western Australian English and HASS Curriculum.
  • Engagement with evidence-based teaching strategies and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills to differentiate instruction and support student progress and resilience.
  • Experience with standardised testing (ACER, PAT) and Positive Behaviour Management Strategies.
