As a News Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the 7 Tasmania News Producer by sourcing and preparing network content for live news broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and preparing network content for live news broadcasts.
  • Ensuring accuracy of on-air graphics and closed captioning content.
  • Contribute to writing news updates.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated interest in news and current affairs.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision under pressure.
  • Experience in news production and content management systems is desirable.

Working Conditions

Predominantly 4-hour weekend shifts (3pm - 7pm) - up to 3 weekends and 24 hours a month. Occasional weekday backfill shifts may be required.
