This isn't your typical design job
At Launceston Central your work will help shape how people see, experience, and connect with our city. The role is diverse and rewarding: you'll help create campaigns that spotlight city businesses, use your creative flair to design engaging marketing content across a range of traditional and digital media, and keep our digital channels and web presence sharp, and you'll be at the heart of a team that's driven to make Launceston vibrant, inclusive, and unmissable.

ABOUT YOU:
We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Tourism, Marketing, and/or Graphic Design, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- A portfolio of graphic design work.
- An in-depth understanding of digital marketing.
- Proven ability in building and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to represent Launceston Central's brand and core values.
Desired:
- Knowledge of business environments including retail and hospitality.
- Knowledge of local government operations.

Following are the core responsibilities, KPIs, and required skills to be a success in this role.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improving and driving our digital presence, creating new ways to engage with and grow our online audience.
- Creating, graphic design and distribution of promotional materials on our website and social media
- Website content creation and management.
- Collating data and creating graphical representations that demonstrate the measurement and effectiveness of the digital component of marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Co-ordinating marketing communications across various channels, creating content, scheduling posts, following the marketing calendar and strategy, and keeping content fresh and up to date.
- Producing written content and copywriting such as blogs, media releases, and promotional materials.
- Graphic design of print ready assets including internal and external reports, leaflets, posters, signage, print advertising, website, e-communications, and other marketing collateral.
- Managing up to date photographic and video assets for promotional purposes, including relationships with providers.
- Assisting with campaign management and optimisation.
- Performing other administrative duties as required including management of office booking systems, annual reports, and corporate brochures.
- Using a range of software and systems including: Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, SharePoint, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, Craft, Meta, Google, Microsoft Office, Teams, and/or similar.
- Assisting management with various tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Attending out-of-hours functions as relevant and able.
- Assisting with general telephone, administrative and various duties as part of a small hands-on team, as required.
- Other activities may be required that assist the team to achieve our strategic goals.

- Accurate record keeping and data entry
- Production of quality written and graphic content
- Production, planning and management of social media, website and advertising
