As a Transport Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of products to our customer restaurants across NSW and ACT.

You will be responsible for overseeing all areas of transport operations within our Distribution Centre (DC) in Wetherill Park, Sydney, and leading a team of transport staff to drive business outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe working environment free of hazards by completing daily site/department inspections and implementing preventative and corrective actions
  • Ensuring on-time delivery and other service KPIs are achieved with regular reporting to identify issues, gaps or any shortfalls
  • Coaching and mentoring the transport operations teams to develop and maintain an engaged workforce through promoting our C.A.R.E.S values within daily operations
  • Managing daily labour hours in conjunction with scheduled routes, volume forecasts and legislative requirements
  • Maintaining fleet compliance with regulatory and customer-driven standards
  • Reviewing master route schedules for potential efficiencies and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the department
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports and monitoring performance against targets and forecasts

About You:

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Transport Management industries
  • Experience within multiple temperature zones within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operational environment would be an added advantage
  • Ability to connect and motivate a diverse team through inclusive people management principles
  • Ability to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity and think laterally to problem solve in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) requirements
  • Experience with Fleet routing and Multi Drop systems would be advantageous
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
