Job Overview

At our production facility in Castlemaine, we have a limited number of permanent full-time positions available for skilled Process Workers.

The successful applicant will work across both day and afternoon shifts, with rostered days off and additional penalty rates for afternoon shifts. Both shifts include opportunities to develop new skills and contribute to the success of our team.

  • Day Shift: Approximately 5:00 am to 3:00 pm — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO (subject to availability)
  • Day Shift: Approximately 6:00 am to 3:00 pm — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + RDO
  • Afternoon Shift: Approximately 3:00 pm to Midnight — Starting pay rate $24.58 per hour + 15% penalty + RDO

Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining machinery and equipment, handling raw and cooked meat products, adhering to strict food safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • A strong commitment to safe work practices at all times
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other team members
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while completing repetitive tasks
  • Be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortably lift weights of 15–20 kg frequently
  • Able to work in chilled temperature rooms
  • A hardworking attitude and the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels
  • Commitment to following established procedures and health and safety practices
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine commitment to full-time working hours
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
