Job Overview

The role of Data Solutions Project Manager plays a crucial part in developing customer understanding and translating insights into tailored data-driven solutions.

This position bridges external user needs with internal capabilities, aligning customer goals with organisational and technical requirements to deliver integrated, fit-for-purpose data solutions.

The Data Solutions Project Manager is responsible for managing projects that involve science and information technology components with both national and international scope.

Key skills required include project management expertise, scientific knowledge, and experience in information technology domains.

A qualification in project management is mandatory. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

They will work closely with project managers and leadership to deliver customer solutions aligned with our strategic goals, embedding governance, ensuring data security and compliance, and driving performance optimisation.

At times, the candidate may lead on cross-disciplinary solutions or coordinate integration activities across various specialist areas.

Problem-solving with internal and external teams, a willingness to listen widely, build consensus, and work in an Agile fashion is essential.

The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive understanding of our role to support national security and defence stakeholders, through proactive engagement to anticipate and accommodate future developments.

Additionally, they will be expected to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that meet customer needs, while working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively manage complex projects and drive results.
