Job Description

The role of a Tech Networks Partnership Manager involves managing relationships with key tech networks to maximize partnership deals.

This position sits within a newly created function focused on developing and commercializing agreements with technology platforms and new channel partners to generate revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate News Corp's commercial agreements with major technology platforms.
  • Work with global colleagues, the Head of and GM of Tech Networks to secure platform deals to commercialize NCA content and access new audiences.
  • Evaluate alternative models pitched by platforms to ensure new initiatives deliver revenue growth in the short and medium term.
  • Analyze business cases for approval of all agreements and establish robust content valuation frameworks.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with platform partners, including reviewing partnership performance.
  • Develop relationships with key local players at existing and potential partners by understanding their drivers and emerging opportunities with a focus on social media and digital video.
  • Implement platform agreements: With the Head of and GM of Tech Networks
  • Use data analytics to inform tactical moves to optimize agreements and derive true value.
  • Drive performance improvement by supporting cross-organizational effort to optimize platform partnerships.
  • Create relevant insights and reports. Be hands-on in hunting for analytics and insights.
  • Use expertise in digital channels, particularly social media platforms and video as a content medium, to problem-solve and create shared value.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in business, communications, economics, marketing, or other related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial partnership management and program delivery in a large and complex organization, providing leadership to others regarding work-related systems, processes, and challenges.
  • Strong understanding of major tech platforms such as Google, Meta, Apple, etc., and how they attract audiences and grow revenue; and an understanding of entertainment-focused tech platforms such as TikTok, Snap, and Spotify.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, using suitable tone and tact in communication tailored to the stakeholder and intended audience.
  • Solid data analysis and insights skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different business units and organizational levels, and cross-functional teams.
