Conservation ManagementThe region comprises 20 diverse river catchments, fertile agricultural land and extensive Aboriginal cultural landscapes.
Key Objectives:- Develop new proposals and projects through stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
- Manage biodiversity projects to a high standard.
- Facilitate conservation action by providing stakeholders with appropriate skills, knowledge and support through coordinated activities.
This role involves overseeing project teams and facilitating biodiversity projects that reduce threats and promote ecological communities.
Key initiatives include supporting threatened species and ecological communities, such as Giant Freshwater Crayfish and King Island birds, as well as weeds strategic planning and delivery.
Conservation GoalsThe position requires a strong understanding of conservation principles and practices. The successful applicant will work closely with stakeholders to develop and deliver a portfolio of biodiversity projects aimed at reducing threats and promoting ecological communities.
The applicant will be responsible for overseeing project teams, facilitating conservation projects and working closely with stakeholders to achieve conservation goals.
