Who we are looking for
Our Environment group in Tasmania is a team of 22 professionals across three offices, dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions for multidisciplinary projects of all sizes in contamination assessment and remediation across renewable energy, transport, resources, water, defence and other markets.
We are seeking an Environmental Scientist eager to be involved in a variety of projects, including asset transition, landfill gas, groundwater, waste, soil, surface water, and petroleum contamination site assessments.
This includes monitoring and reporting activities.
You will deliver innovative client-focused solutions and high-quality projects for our clients, and help to build a robust, skilled, and motivated team, capable of sustaining our long-term success.
Responsibilities
Use your technical, project management and client relationship skills to contribute and lead technical delivery of environmental contamination and remediation projects.
Conduct field investigations, data management and technical reporting for contaminated site assessments.
Provide field and office-based technical guidance.
Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience
Relevant Bachelor's degree in Science (Environmental, Geology, Hydrogeology), backed by professional experience (ideally 5–10 years) in contamination assessment and remediation in a consulting environment.
Well-developed skills in field work, including soil logging, site assessment and monitoring.
Proficient in field sampling techniques and QA/QC protocol.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in data management, interpretation, and reporting.
Managing site investigations and subcontractors.
Eligibility to be registered/chartered with relevant professional accreditation and/or body.
Current Defence security clearance or be eligible to apply for clearance.
