Director of Enforcement

The Director of Enforcement is a senior role responsible for leading the development and implementation of key strategies, policies and procedures to enable effective regulation and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Enforcement teams to deliver agreed outcomes through building and maintaining a high performing team with the appropriate capabilities and skill sets.
  2. Exercise complex professional judgement in Enforcement matters.
  3. Contribute to the achievement of AUSTRAC's strategic goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, justice or similar fields, as well as familiarity with government investigations are highly desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Regulatory Compliance, Investigations, Enforcement and civil litigation.
  • A strong understanding of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 and its application.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
