Finance Leader Job

We are seeking a seasoned finance expert to join our team as a Finance Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and/or property funds, with excellent leadership and analytical skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the review of all finance reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. They will also manage a team of qualified finance staff and coordinate with external auditors and tax accountants to facilitate the accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of Property Investment Trust accounting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal financial performance.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and prepare detailed reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and management of the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with financial and business objectives.
  • Manage the monthly re-forecasting and financial reporting processes, including detailed variance analysis to track performance against budget and identify key financial trends.
  • Design, develop, and implement financial models and analytical tools to support management decision-making and enhance internal controls.
  • Collaborate with accountants during the onboarding of new clients, ensuring seamless integration into financial systems and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably CA or CPA qualified, along with relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting.
  • Strong experience in analysis and reporting.
  • Management of a team of qualified finance staff.
  • Working knowledge of accounting standards and regulations, legislation, and management accounting techniques.
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational skill and ability to work under pressure, to deadline.
  • Previous property or infrastructure asset management and investment experience preferred.

You will have a solid understanding of financial services and/or property funds, with excellent leadership and analytical skills. You will be able to multitask across a range of duties and develop and maintain strong relationships.
