Job Opportunity

This is a full-time position as a skilled tradesperson for DG CHEN PTY LTD, a leading interior decoration and gypsum board service provider.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Supervisor to carry out wall and ceiling plastering tasks, ensuring surfaces are prepared to a high standard, and assist in delivering projects efficiently and on schedule.

  • Determining the most efficient plasterboard layout and installing insulation and vapour barriers to enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and structural integrity.
  • Measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard to precise dimensions, lifting and positioning panels, and securely fixing them to walls, ceilings, and battens.
  • Preparing and securing corner beads in position to ensure strong, neat edges.
  • Covering joints and nail holes with wet plaster, joint tape, and sealing compound, then smoothing the surface with a wet brush and sandpaper for a flawless result.
  • Plumbing and straightening corners, angles, and wall-ceiling surfaces to achieve perfect alignment and smooth finishes.
  • Applying and finishing acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement, and other similar compounds to meet safety, durability, and aesthetic requirements.

Requirements include being fully qualified with at least 3 years of proven experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently while managing projects efficiently and meeting deadlines.
