Tyre Fitting Position

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Tyre Fitter. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our heavy vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remove, inspect, repair, and fit tyres for trucks, trailers, plant, and light vehicles.
  • Conduct routine pressure checks, rotate tyres, and assess wear patterns.
  • Identify and report any tyre-related defects or mechanical concerns.
  • Manage tyre stock levels and assist with ordering when required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
  • Assist with basic mechanical repairs and general maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with workshop and fleet teams to ensure timely vehicle turnaround.
  • Uphold all safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in tyre fitting, preferably within heavy vehicle, transport, or civil industries.
  • A current driver's licence (HC licence highly regarded).
  • General Construction Certificate (White or Blue Card).
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays as part of a rotating roster.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
