We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing payroll functions and assisting with human resource administration requirements for all employees.
The Job- Payroll & HR:
- In conjunction with an outsourced payroll provider, prepare and distribute salaries and wages accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate pay records, associated time-keeping data and statistics, leave records, and related information.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for payroll, payroll tax, insurance, and superannuation payments, as well as authorized payroll deductions.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of payment summaries.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax returns accurately and on time.
- Prepare returns for workers' compensation insurance.
- For new, leaving, or existing employees, attend to administrative tasks according to local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain up-to-date employee files.
- Assist with process improvements in payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety SOPs and relevant regulations.
- Office Administration:
- Assist with other finance department tasks as required, including requisitioning items for finance and IT teams.
- Perform general office administrative duties as needed.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries on the office phone number.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required by the company from time to time.
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Numeracy.
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
- Customer service-oriented, approachable, and helpful to employees.
- Discreet, able to manage confidential and personal data.
Part-time: 20 hours/week over 3 or 4 days. Working days to be agreed upon, some flexibility required to meet payroll deadlines.
