We are seeking a skilled Councillor Liaison Officer to join our team at Townsville City Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional to provide high-level support to councillors and community organisations.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate IV in Business and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related role. You will have strong interpersonal skills, including relationship building and negotiation, as well as the ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks.

The Councillor Liaison Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support to councillors, including arranging meetings, booking travel, and processing expense claims. You will also be required to action requests from community organisations for small amounts of financial support through the Councillors' Discretionary Fund.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in conducting or assisting in stakeholder consultation, including group facilitation, and will be able to work effectively in a team environment.
