About the Role

This mid-level Environmental Sustainability Specialist position is ideal for someone looking to take their career to the next level.

You will work alongside senior consultants on project delivery, from fieldwork to reporting and client management.

This role offers opportunities to build technical, project management, and leadership skills in contaminated land management, environmental monitoring programs, and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute fieldwork programs, including groundwater, surface water, landfill gas, noise, dust, and vibration monitoring.
  • Conduct contaminated site investigations, remediation projects, and soil and waste classifications.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and proposals ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure project objectives and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and deliver project outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Assist with mentoring junior team members to support their professional growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to maintain high service standards.

What We're Looking For

We seek a tertiary-qualified Environmental Scientist or Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in contaminated land management, hazardous materials management, or environmental monitoring.

Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing detailed reports.

Familiarity with NSW and Australian environmental regulations and standards is essential.

A full C Class Driver's License and proficiency in environmental software such as ESdat and ESlog (or similar) are also required.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
