Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our carbon markets strategy, driving investment opportunities in nature-based solutions and carbon removal technologies. This role will involve building and managing a pipeline of strategic investment opportunities, delivering commercial and technical due diligence, and developing strategies for voluntary and legislated carbon market requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive carbon markets strategy aligned with the company's long-term net emissions targets
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, project developers, and regulatory bodies
  • Analyse market trends, supply and demand dynamics, pricing, and policy developments to inform decision-making
  • Represent the company in industry forums, driving thought leadership in carbon markets and sustainability
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in investment, strategy or analytical roles – ideally in carbon markets, strategy consulting, venture capital, corporate finance, funds management, renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure advisory
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial analysis, and investment evaluation skills
  • In-depth understanding of carbon markets, carbon projects and credits, and their regulatory environment
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical and market concepts to senior stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and collaborative approach
