We're seeking an organized and proactive individual to provide support to our Intellectual Property team. This role will involve database management, submission tracking, deadline monitoring, and coordination of patent-related tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in patent and/or trade mark administration, excellent communication skills, and high emotional intelligence. Proficiency in tools like Jira, Slack, and G-Suite is also essential.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to interesting legal work and contribute to Canva's growing global IP portfolio. As part of our close-knit IP Legal team, you'll work on matters that matter and collaborate with international team members based in Australia, Manila, Beijing, San Francisco, Austin, and London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Intellectual Property team
  • Manage databases and track submissions
  • Monitor deadlines and coordinate patent-related tasks
  • Assist with general administration and billing support
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare patent-related presentations

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in patent and/or trade mark administration
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to work collaboratively
